​What is Hajj?

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, an obligatory pilgrimage for Muslims who are physically and financially able to perform it. It takes place annually in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, during the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah.

2. Wuquf at Arafat – Standing at Mount Arafat in prayer and seeking forgiveness.
3. Tawaf al-Ifadah – Circling the Kaaba seven times after returning from Arafat.
​​4. Sa’i – Walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah seven times.         
5. Ramy al-Jamarat – Throwing pebbles at the pillars symbolizing Satan in Mina.

Key Locations of Hajj Pilgrims visit several holy sites during Hajj, including

-Kaaba (Mecca) – The holiest site in Islam, where Muslims perform Tawaf.
-Mount Arafat – The place of the main Hajj prayer and forgiveness.
-Mina – The site of the symbolic stoning of the devil.
-Muzdalifah – A stop where pilgrims collect pebbles for the Jamarat ritual

Prohibited Actions During Hajj (Ihram Restrictions) Pilgrims must avoid certain actions while in Ihram, including

-Cutting hair or nails
-Wearing perfumes or scented products
-Engaging in marital relations
-Hunting or harming animals
-Arguing or fighting
-Covering the head (for men) or the face (for women)
